It is equipped with a 14k Extra Fine Soennecken crown nib, and fills via a unique Soennecken “click” Piston Filling Mechanism. To activate the piston, you pull the spring-loaded piston cap away from the body of the pen and turn to push the piston into place to fill the pen. As you fill the pen and come to the end, you will eventually hear an audible “click”, locking the piston cap in place
