The Souveran Stresemann 405 is dedicated to the foreign minister of the Weimar Republic, Gustav Stresemann (1879-1929), who was honored together with his French colleague Aristide Briand with the Nobel Prize for Peace in 1926. Stresemann often wore a suit consisting of black/grey striped trousers and a jacket in black or anthracite. The Souveran 405 black/anthracite Pelikan Pen is named after and honors Gustav Stresemann. The barrel of this New Souveran Pen is made with anthracite stripes of cellulose acetate. High quality resin is also used for the finely turned black colored parts. The clip and the rings are plated with palladium. The nib is made of rhodinized 14 carat gold to match the silver sheen. Each writing instrument is crafted by hand. The fountain pen is piston fill and enhanced with a 14kt gold nib.
